Mis communication about what I was expecting from the appointment.
Nurses were quite short with their explanations.
Waiting time was ridiculously long, with no explanation as to how long waiting times were. Holding area was ridiculously hot, seating uncomfortable and exacerbated my back pain. No water cooler, so couldn’t even take painkillers!
Everyone was very kind and helpful. I had total confidence in them all.
All staff were absolutely incredible. This is the second time I have been in Coral ward (March 2022 and March 2024) after the birth of my children and both times all staff were attentive at all times, friendly and approachable.
They all worked well as a team and my care was seamless when changing staff on shift rotation. I was looked after exceptionally, cannot fault the care I received.
At the beginning when I fractured my proximal humerus I had to chase the department regarding an appointment and to find out whether I was going to have surgery.
I was so impressed by the quality of staff care and detail for individual needs. Nothing was too much trouble despite a demanding work schedule with staff always having a cheery and pleasant attitude. All were highly professional in giving me information, answering questions and being sensitive to needs.
Very poor treatment not acting quick enough. Not impressed by with anything on this ward. So many mistakes made which prolonged my husband's treatment. Discharged to early and discharge papers where describing another patient.
Nurse an doctors Were very good an kind treated with respect the only thing I would recommend is more nurses on the ward to deal with each patient.also when the have very ill patients the doctors need to talk to them in private not infront of patient the patient I had next to me had the same problem like my mum did she only passed away 5 months ago an I doubt it very distressing.
Witnessed change over with all nurses having printed notes on all patients
I was not given 2 of my medications despite asking for them. Was eventually given them after several days
I waited in A and E at Romford queens for 39 hours from arrival for treatment, 9 hours wait before seeing a doctor , I had a heart race condition and my beats per minute was between 130 and 140 for the whole 39 hours and I collapsed anf had to be recovered in the resuss unit where I remained for over a day due to lack of beds...and space....I was in hospital a week in total but the experience in a and e was absolutely disgraceful service
